Job Qualifications
- At least 6 years progressive experience in hotel or related field or a 4-year college degree and 4 to 5 years related experience or a 2-year college degree and 5 to 6 years related experience

Job Duties
- Tour the operating departments daily making adjustments as needed via department heads
- conduct weekly staff meetings including training sessions reviewing sales and operations efforts
- meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs timely
- hold monthly financial review with department managers and supervisors
- ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity and standard accounting procedures
- develop managers through competency and corporate training programs
- conduct daily sales meetings focusing on prospecting and account calls
- engage in hotel sales efforts including client calls and hosting events
- participate in management on-duty coverage as scheduled
- monitor development of management trainees
- adhere to all company policies and train new managers
- assist in hotel budget process as required
- ensure training in service standards using company training steps
- foster a positive team environment focusing on guests
- inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping and engineering
- ensure complete processing of invoices daily
- send financial documents in compliance with monthly accounting calendar
- maintain cleanliness and maintenance through inspections
- ensure employees are attentive courteous and efficient
- forecast monthly financial position estimating revenues and expenses
- conduct all management interviews and follow hiring procedures
- interview final management candidates before offers
- perform executive committee performance appraisals and ensure compliance with standards
- motivate coach counsel and discipline management personnel
- perform other duties as requested by Vice President or Regional Director
- ensure fair treatment of all employees
- meet clients on property including tours to assist sales
- be present in public areas during peak times greeting guests
- ensure security procedures for hotel safe and monthly audits are followed
- conduct monthly credit meetings and enforce credit policies
- complete required corporate training modules and certify others
- ensure all scheduled meetings take place on property
