Job Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • must have and keep a valid driver's license
  • can create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions for up to two minutes
  • can work carefully and quickly with hot water, coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products
  • can work outside for prolonged periods regardless of weather
  • can lift up to 50lbs
  • can stand comfortably for hours
  • can climb ladders and use stepladders
  • can stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed
  • can safely walk between and around cars in drive-thru line
  • can quickly and cleanly operate any position during peak hours
  • can maintain awareness of shift operations while working a position
  • can assertively and graciously confront coworkers to address operational, procedural, or cultural issues

Job Qualifications

  • Proven leadership abilities in a fast-paced environment with 40+ team members
  • familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and email
  • ability to adequately manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • experience in coaching and developing teams
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to lead and direct multiple personality types under pressure
  • ability to adapt to problems and implement solutions during stressful situations

Job Duties

  • Become proficient in all Brewista and Shift Lead duties and skill sets
  • maintain excellent wait times, cleanliness, and customer interactions through training, coaching, and encouragement
  • provide regular feedback to each team member on strengths and areas of growth
  • create a weekly shift schedule considering crew needs and availability while maintaining budgeted labor costs
  • track and order inventory, small wares, parts, and equipment while minimizing waste and controlling costs
  • ensure appropriate cash handling, deposits, and change management
  • work autonomously and involve district coach when necessary
  • ensure crew compliance with all health and safety requirements
  • develop new leaders to step into future roles
  • promptly implement and communicate directives from upper management
  • delegate tasks thoughtfully to leadership team and Brewistas
  • responsible for hiring, firing, and disciplinary actions related to shift leads and baristas
