Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 4 years experience in restaurant leadership
  • prior experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant preferred
  • ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • able to meet physical demands such as standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • compliance with state age requirements for alcohol service where applicable

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations in compliance with company policies and applicable laws
  • recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
  • plan, assign, and direct work
  • appraise performance and manage employee rewards and discipline including terminations
  • shape restaurant culture and ensure high employee engagement
  • coach and mentor team members for job success and guest satisfaction
  • model professional behavior to create a hospitable atmosphere
  • communicate sales performance and implement corporate programs
  • assist team members with job duties as needed
  • champion sales building activities and suggestive selling
  • maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • meet and greet guests and resolve food quality/service issues to ensure guest satisfaction
  • maintain efficient operations, cost controls, and profit management
  • enforce OSHA, safety codes, and company safety policies
  • promote safe work behaviors
  • monitor food quality and cleanliness standards
  • control cash, inventory, food and labor costs
  • manage P&L including food cost, labor cost, and other controllables
  • control food costs by enforcing recipes and portion control
  • manage labor costs through scheduling tools
  • ensure proper use of restaurant equipment
  • maintain facility and company assets
  • perform other duties as assigned
