Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years restaurant management experience preferably in quick service restaurants
  • Ability to work a minimum five day workweek including irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices
  • Knowledge of labor laws and health regulations
  • Leadership and supervisory skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Basic computer and accounting skills
  • Problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution skills
  • Willingness to follow appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Advanced studies in business, restaurant management or related fields preferred
  • Minimum of two years of restaurant management experience preferably in QSR
  • Experience running shifts autonomously
  • Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and local health and sanitation regulations
  • Leadership and supervisory skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic accounting and computer skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to multitask and follow directions independently

Job Duties

  • Manages, trains, monitors and coaches crew/team members, Carhops and Skating Carhops
  • Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet operational standards
  • Adheres to and monitors employee compliance with the employee handbook, policies and practices
  • Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties
  • Prepares employee work schedules and adjusts staffing levels
  • Monitors and maintains restaurant inventory, placing orders within cost control
  • Completes and maintains employment and payroll records
  • Reinforces customer service mentality and ensures focus on serving customers
  • Resolves guest requests and reports and assists with guest complaints
  • Interviews and hires crew and management team members
  • Prepares operational reports and develops action plans to resolve financial or sales issues
  • Develops and implements marketing plans
