Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a leadership role
  • 4-6 years of experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant preferred
  • Ability to work various shifts and weekends
  • Compliance with state-mandated age requirements for alcohol service if applicable
  • Ability to stand for entire shifts and walk long periods
  • Ability to push, lift, carry, or transfer up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach with hands
  • Ability to taste, smell, verbally communicate, and use vision functions
  • Ability to freely access all restaurant areas
  • Commitment to following safety and sanitation procedures
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior leadership experience required
  • Minimum of 4-6 years experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant management preferred
  • College and/or culinary schooling preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Appraise employee performance and administer rewards or disciplinary actions
  • Shape restaurant culture and ensure high employee engagement
  • Coach and mentor team members to achieve job success and guest satisfaction
  • Model professional behavior to create a warm and hospitable atmosphere
  • Communicate sales performance and anticipate variances
  • Cascade corporate programs and initiatives to staff
  • Assist team members with duties as needed
  • Champion sales building activities and suggestive selling
  • Maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • Meet and greet guests, investigate and resolve food quality or service issues to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Maintain efficient operations with appropriate cost controls and profit management
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, health and safety codes, and company safety policies
  • Enforce safe work behaviors
  • Monitor daily activities to ensure food quality and cleanliness standards
  • Control cash handling, inventory, manage food and labor costs
  • Review financial reports and schedules and take necessary actions
  • Manage P&L, food cost, labor cost, and other controllable items
  • Follow recipes and portion control to control food costs
  • Conduct weekly inventory
  • Optimize employee schedules using labor scheduling tools
  • Ensure proper use of restaurant equipment
  • Maintain facility and company assets
  • Perform other duties as assigned
