Job Requirements
- BS/BA is a plus
- must be a passionate team player and a strong motivator
- must have strong background in driving performance excellence through strong people management
- five plus years in full P&L management responsibility preferably in hospitality, service and/or retail environments
- experience in problem-solving, exercising sound judgment, maintaining confidentiality and the ability to interact professionally and effectively with co-workers, clients, and the general public
- proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and database applications
- ability to multi-task with strong time management skills
- ability to complete assignments and responsibilities accurately and in a timely manner, often with strict and/or conflicting deadlines
- excellent oral presentation, writing, and analytical skills
- strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills
- must have exceptional strong customer service experience and skills
- veterinary, boarding and/or grooming experience required
- must have experience in managing inventory and accounts payable
- must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- must frequently lift 40 pounds
- must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift
- must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently
- must be able to work on computer system and work multi-line telephone
- must be able to handle dogs on leashes
- must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is a plus

Job Duties
- Support the mission, vision, culture and policies of Destination Pet
- ensure exceptional customer service through direct contact, training and complaint resolution
- collaborate regularly with Destination Pet Support Staff including Operations, HR, Marketing, Facilities, Legal
- ensure cohesiveness of pet care services and cross-training
- manage staff recruitment, hiring, motivation, training, promotion, counseling, and termination
- oversee staff scheduling and maintain budget compliance
- manage center payroll and ensure timely approval
- ensure compliance with federal and local labor laws
- conduct safety training and enforce safety policies
- prepare and deliver annual performance reviews
- monitor and respond to pet guests' needs ensuring safety and comfort
- resolve customer and staff complaints
- actively manage social media accounts
- create and implement local marketing programs
- attend community events and partner with local businesses
- maintain and reorder inventory
- monitor and manage computer systems
- address center maintenance needs
- utilize financial reports and statistics
- manage cash including payments and end-of-day balancing
- ensure timely bank deposits
- promote and market programs and services
- assist team members as needed
- perform other duties as assigned
