Job Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including articulating to clients and company personnel

Job Qualifications

  • Five years operations management experience
  • Two years management experience in cultural, iconic, amusement or museum attractions a plus
  • ServSafe certified a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven leadership skills with team building and development focus
  • Exceptional problem solving and decision making abilities
  • Financial management and analytical skills
  • Flexible and organized in fast-paced settings
  • Basic computer knowledge for office functions
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle lifting

Job Duties

  • Coach, supervise, direct all department managers so operational needs (financial, staffing, product, merchandising, client expectations, etc.) are met on a daily basis
  • Schedule management personnel as necessary
  • Assist designated management team or individuals in developing training standards for alcohol service, customer service, safety, harassment, etc.
  • Host all meetings for management team and conduct necessary training sessions
  • Work with Executive Chef, Retail Operations Manager and Buyer to track, maintain and budget inventory and Cost of Goods (COG)
  • Act as main liaison between the Client and SSA
  • Maintain a close relationship with direct client report and the client's staff
  • Manage marketing efforts to drive company efforts, guest experience and operational output
  • Attend Client meetings and report to the Regional Manager
  • Remain knowledgeable of and manage in accordance with all applicable laws
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment
  • Uphold and demonstrate complete understanding of company policies and procedures
  • Oversee unit's financial management through budgeting, forecasting, and management of sales/per cap and controllable expenses
  • Ensure all fiscal deadlines are met to HQ
  • Manage invoice processing with detailed review
  • Provide accurate reports for cash reconciliation, flash reporting, item analysis, monthly inventory, and payroll percentages
  • Complete business assessments with comparable market pricing to assess business model
  • Forecast weekly sales and maintain monthly sales analysis
  • Manage payroll and controllable profit within established guidelines
  • Minimize controllable costs and strategize revenue opportunities
  • Perform SSA EXTRA Guest Service to ensure memorable guest experiences
  • Oversee day-to-day functions of all applicable departments
  • Implement contract terms with discretion
  • Support progressive discipline documentation
  • Keep operating manuals updated
  • Review and approve major special event plans
  • Manage menu design and pricing
  • Lead long-range planning for department programs
  • Manage capital projects to meet client and SSA expectations
  • Handle business legal needs with HQ
  • Manage employee integration and exit processes
  • Promote an inclusive and supportive approach at the unit
  • Oversee unit publications
  • Ensure sustainability and conservation efforts are integrated
  • Support community engagement and giving back initiatives
  • Perform other necessary tasks
