Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior leadership experience required
  • 4-6 years in family, fast-food, or casual dining preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for entire shifts
  • capability to push, lift, carry, and transfer up to 50 pounds
  • ability to bend, stoop, and reach with hands
  • ability to use hands for handling and controlling objects
  • ability to taste and smell
  • strong verbal communication skills
  • ability to use close, distance, color, peripheral vision and adjust focus
  • ability to access selling floor, stock area, and register area
  • compliance with state-mandated age requirements for alcohol service in applicable restaurants

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
  • plan, assign, and direct work
  • appraise performance
  • reward and discipline employees including termination
  • address complaints and resolve problems
  • shape restaurant culture and ensure high employee engagement
  • coach and mentor team members for success and guest satisfaction
  • create a warm, friendly, and hospitable atmosphere
  • communicate sales performance and forecast variances to management team
  • cascade corporate programs and initiatives
  • assist team members with job duties as needed
  • champion sales-building activities and suggestive selling
  • maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • meet and greet guests and resolve food quality and service issues to achieve 100% guest satisfaction
  • maintain efficient operations, cost controls, and profit management
  • ensure OSHA, local health, safety codes, and company safety and security policies are met
  • enforce safe work behaviors for guests and crew
  • monitor daily activities to ensure quality and cleanliness
  • control cash, inventory, food and labor management
  • review financial reports and schedules and take appropriate actions
  • manage food cost, labor cost, carryout cost, and other controllable items
  • control food costs by following recipes and portion controls
  • perform weekly inventory process
  • optimize labor schedules and monitor sales performance
  • ensure proper use of restaurant equipment
  • maintain facility and company assets
  • perform all other assigned duties
