Job Requirements
- Minimum five years of management experience in golf course operations
- bachelor’s degree or equivalent in hospitality, business, or related field preferred
- valid certifications such as PGA considered an asset
- proven ability to manage budgets and financial plans
- strong leadership and organizational skills
- problem-solving ability
- proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and club management software
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- flexible availability to work evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications
- At least five years of experience in a management role with commensurate golf courses
- excellent communication and organizational skills
- strong work ethic
- 2 or 4 year degree in hospitality, business, or management, or PGA certification
- demonstrated experience in budget development, fiscal management, strategic planning, and staff management
- ability to analyze and solve problems
- ability to handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision
- willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- innovative thinker with adaptability to changing environments
- strong leadership skills including recruiting, developing and retaining quality staff
- proficiency in Microsoft Office, point of sale systems, and club software such as Club Caddie
- highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- positive attitude, professional manner and appearance
Job Duties
- Oversight of all activities at DeBell Golf Club on a day-to-day basis
- hiring, training, and ongoing support of the department head staff including the course Superintendent, Golf Professionals, Merchandise Manager, Food and Beverage leadership staff, Bookkeeper, and other key staff
- lead weekly department head meetings, periodic department meetings, and annual all staff meetings
- oversee the hiring and training of all frontline staff members to ensure superior guest service
- create and implement systems to ensure consistent execution of a first-class experience
- provide leadership, direction, supervision, and guidance to staff in alignment with KemperSports expectations and culture
- direct, coordinate and monitor development of the annual business plan and operating/capital budgets
- monitor and evaluate financial performance relative to budget goals
- analyze budget variances and implement action plans
- oversee back-of-the-house operational responsibilities including accounting, scheduling, payroll, and administrative duties
