Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior leadership experience
  • 4-6 years of experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurants preferred
  • college or culinary schooling preferred
  • knowledge of managing restaurant operations including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance appraisal
  • ability to enforce safety and health standards
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • strong organizational and planning skills
  • dedication to guest satisfaction
  • computer literacy
  • ability to analyze financial reports and manage costs
  • physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform other physical tasks
  • availability to work various shifts and weekends
  • compliance with state age requirements for alcohol service if applicable

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
  • plan, assign, and direct work
  • appraise performance and enforce disciplinary actions including termination
  • address complaints and resolve problems
  • shape restaurant culture and ensure high employee engagement
  • coach and mentor team members to ensure success and guest satisfaction
  • model professional behavior and create a hospitable atmosphere
  • communicate sales performance and implement corporate initiatives
  • assist team members with job duties as needed
  • champion sales building activities and maximize table turnover
  • meet and greet guests and resolve food quality/service issues
  • maintain efficient operations with appropriate cost controls and profit management
  • ensure compliance with OSHA, health and safety codes, and company policies
  • enforce safe work behaviors
  • monitor quality and cleanliness standards
  • control cash, inventory, food, and labor costs
  • manage schedules using labor scheduling tools
