Job Requirements

  • Education and experience consistent with qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license for the applicable state

Job Qualifications

  • At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
  • or a 4-year college degree and at least 4 to 5 years of related experience
  • or a 2-year college degree and at least 5 to 6 years of related experience
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing
  • Strong communication skills to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Capability to work well under stressful and high-pressure situations
  • Skills to handle workplace problems effectively, including anticipating and resolving issues
  • Ability to assimilate and analyze complex information from various sources
  • Effective listening and problem-solving skills to address concerns of co-workers and guests
  • Basic financial literacy including understanding of financial data and arithmetic functions

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with company standards
  • Ensure adherence to company standards and regulations for safe and efficient hotel operations
  • Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts, including meeting clients and hosting events
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions following company training standards
  • Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers to ensure budget compliance
  • Motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline management personnel according to company policies
  • Conduct regular inspections with housekeeping and maintenance managers to maintain cleanliness and property upkeep
  • Forecast hotel financial position monthly by estimating revenues and expenses
  • Interview final candidates for vacant positions and administer performance appraisals for management staff
