Job Requirements

  • BS/BA is a plus
  • Must be a passionate team player and strong motivator
  • Must have strong background in driving performance excellence through people management
  • Five plus years in full P&L management responsibility preferably in hospitality, service and/or retail environments
  • Experience in problem-solving, exercising sound judgment, maintaining confidentiality and professional interaction
  • Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and database applications
  • Ability to multi-task with strong time management skills
  • Ability to complete assignments accurately and timely often with strict and/or conflicting deadlines
  • Excellent oral presentation, writing and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and motivational skills
  • Must have exceptional strong customer service experience and skills
  • Veterinary, boarding and/or grooming experience required
  • Must have experience managing inventory and accounts payable
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must frequently lift 40 pounds
  • Must be able to be on feet for the duration of shift
  • Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently
  • Must be able to work on computer system and multi-line telephone
  • Must be able to handle dogs on leashes
  • Must be able to work in environment with exposure to disinfectant, sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree is a plus

Job Duties

  • Supports the mission, vision, culture and policies of Destination Pet
  • Ensures exceptional customer service through personal contact, associate training, complaint resolution and service delivery
  • Collaborate with Destination Pet Support Staff regularly
  • Ensure cohesiveness of pet care services and cross training as needed
  • Manage all staff including recruitment, hiring, motivation, training, promotion, counseling and termination
  • Oversee staff scheduling within budget
  • Manage center payroll and approve timely payroll
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws including OSHA, EEOC, ADA, and fair labor practices
  • Conduct safety training and enforce safety policies
  • Prepare and deliver annual performance reviews
  • Monitor and respond to pet guest needs
  • Resolve customer and staff complaints
  • Manage social media accounts with weekly posts and responses
  • Create and execute local marketing programs
  • Attend community events and partner with local businesses
  • Maintain inventory and reorder supplies
  • Monitor and manage center computer systems
  • Address maintenance needs
  • Utilize financial reports and manage cash including deposits
  • Promote Destination Pet's services
  • Assist team members as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
