Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of relevant management experience
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work nights weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Willingness to complete required certifications
- Reliable transportation
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings
Job Qualifications
- 1-3 years of management experience in convenience store retail fast food or restaurant operations
- Budget and profit and loss understanding
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Must have or obtain UST Class A/B Certification within 30 days if applying in Maine
- Effective communication skills
- Availability to provide coverage including nights weekends and holidays
- Ability to bend stoop and stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift pull and push up to 30 pounds
- Successful completion of certification testing as needed
- Proficient in MS Outlook Word and Excel
Job Duties
- Recruit interview hire train and develop all store staff
- Demonstrate leadership and promote teamwork
- Motivate staff to continually improve performance
- Address employee relations issues effectively
- Provide performance feedback and coaching to store employees
- Conduct regular performance evaluations coaching and counseling
- Ensure personal grooming and appearance standards
- Ensure all store employees follow company policies and procedures
- Supervise hourly employees timekeeping and payroll reporting
- Post work schedule as per company policy
- Develop and execute site level operating budget
- Ensure steady improvement of store profitability
- Maximize store sales and gasoline volume
- Monitor retail gasoline prices
- Maintain product mix and inventory levels
- Stock shelves and refrigerated coolers
- Minimize loss of cash and inventory
- Ensure compliance with all local state and federal laws
- Perform fund reconciliation and inventory audits
- Prepare and supervise required paperwork
- Provide excellent customer service
- Greet customers with a smile and sincere greeting
- Promote specials and suggest purchases
- Execute customer service program at site level
- Minimize safety risks and ensure safety training compliance
- Enforce environmental and hazardous material regulations
- Maintain safety and security of the store
- Manage maintenance of customer environment
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently
- Implement safety and health programs
- Report workplace accidents and incidents
- Conduct new employee safety orientation
- Inspect stores for hazards and initiate corrective action
- Encourage unsafe condition reporting
- Promote quick return to work for employees
