Job Requirements

  • Work a flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be available to close the store at least once per week
  • Attend corporate business meetings and travel including overnight stays and interstate trips
  • Maintain valid identification suitable for airline travel
  • Continuous mobility and physical activity including frequent bending, pushing, reaching, twisting, lifting up to 25 lbs, walking, and coordination during shifts
  • Frequent use of computer and telephonic devices

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5+ years of fast-paced retail management or relevant experience
  • Proven financial management driving sales and controlling expenses
  • Experience monitoring inventory and achieving operational excellence
  • Ability to execute merchandising directives and foster a service culture
  • Skilled in attracting, developing, and motivating top talent
  • Proven adaptability and leadership through change
  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to lead teams effectively
  • Proficient with POS systems, Microsoft Office, and Apple devices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to changing environments

Job Duties

  • Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed sales, guest loyalty, payroll, omni-channel, and retail shrink goals
  • Drive company profitability through operational excellence, sales growth, and expense control
  • Leverage store forecast and payroll budgets for scheduling and productivity
  • Address financial and operational issues using company reports and audits
  • Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations
  • Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services
  • Maintain prompt attendance and hold associates accountable to attendance policy
  • Attract, hire, and retain diverse top talent and address staffing needs
  • Address policy violations with appropriate corrective actions
  • Build an engaged team that embodies the Ulta Beauty brand
  • Create an inclusive environment encouraging growth and engagement
  • Lead manager and associate development with training, feedback, and succession planning
  • Ensure participation in ongoing brand and category training
  • Model open communication and align goals with company strategy
  • Promote teamwork by leading and prioritizing management activities
  • Execute the Guest Engagement Leader program to drive business results
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Enforce dress code adherence
  • Use scheduling and task management tools to optimize operations
  • Protect company assets and minimize loss through standard procedures
  • Perform day-to-day inventory control and theft reporting
  • Support continuous improvement and the adoption of company initiatives
