Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4-6 years prior experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant preferred
  • Prior leadership experience required
  • Ability to stand for entire shift and walk long periods without rest
  • Ability to push, lift, carry, and transfer up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to reach, handle objects, bend and stoop
  • Ability to taste and smell
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively
  • Ability to use close, distance, color, peripheral vision and adjust focus
  • Availability to access all restaurant areas including sales floor, stock and register
  • Willingness to work various shifts and weekends
  • Compliance with state alcohol serving age requirements for managers where applicable

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, and develop employees
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Appraise performance and handle disciplinary actions including termination
  • Shape restaurant culture and ensure high employee engagement
  • Coach and mentor team members to enhance job performance and guest satisfaction
  • Model professional behavior and create a hospitable atmosphere
  • Communicate sales performance and corporate initiatives to management team
  • Assist team members with job duties as needed
  • Champion sales building and suggestive selling activities
  • Maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • Greet guests and resolve food quality and service issues
  • Maintain efficient operations with appropriate cost controls
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety policies
  • Enforce safe work behaviors for guests and crew
  • Monitor food quality and cleanliness standards
  • Oversee cash control, inventory, scheduling, and financial reports
  • Manage food cost, labor cost, and other controllables
  • Follow recipes and portion controls
  • Conduct weekly inventory
  • Optimize labor schedules and monitor sales performance
  • Ensure proper use of equipment and maintain company assets
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
