Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous management experience in food service or retail environment
  • ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • strong organizational skills

  • physical capability to meet postural and physical demands including lifting and standing for long periods

Job Duties

  • ordering supplies and overseeing building maintenance cleanliness and security
  • accountable for production of Always Fresh standards and waste levels
  • plans and works to budgets maximizes profits and achieves sales and transaction targets controls food paper labour costs and administers payrolls
  • recruits new team members performance management including training and developing team members and motivating team to achieve targets
  • builds the restaurants bench strength by identifying and developing high potential employees for progression
  • sets goals and objectives for team
  • ensures open door policy for all team members
  • ensures ongoing day to day communication with all shifts through communication log or other means
  • handles guest complaints and queries with professionalism and concern
  • prepares reports and performance analysis documentation
  • establishes relationships with the local community and undertakes activities in compliance with corporate social responsibility programs
  • establishes proper security procedures and ensures safety of team members and guests
  • provides leadership and direction around waste management procedures
  • complies with occupational health and safety legislation
  • conducts regular workplace inspections and responds to unsafe acts and conditions
  • enforces employee compliance in health and safety policies
  • initiates performance counseling and disciplinary actions for noncompliance
  • keeps restaurant owner apprised of hazards and makes recommendations for improvements
