Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Two to three years of restaurant management experience or one year as a Benihana manager with good performance
  • Proficiency in food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, personnel management, recordkeeping and report preparation
  • Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Must possess a valid driver's license where applicable
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must agree to background check
  • ServSafe certified preferred
  • Alcohol service certified preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Two to three years of restaurant management experience or one year as a Benihana manager with positive results
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Proficiency in food planning, purchasing, sanitation, security, personnel management, recordkeeping and report preparation
  • Knowledge of computers including MS Word and Excel
  • ServSafe certified preferred
  • Alcohol service certified preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversees and manages all areas of the restaurant and makes final decisions on guest service issues
  • Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints
  • Inspects dining room, food receiving, preparation, production and storage areas to ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to
  • Supervises cleaning and maintenance of equipment and arranges for repairs, contracts and other services
  • Maintains appropriate restaurant image including cleanliness and appearance standards
  • Ensures good safety practices for employees and guests
  • Plans and approves scheduling of all restaurant departments
  • Prepares required paperwork such as forms, reports and schedules
  • Assists in marketing and promotional activities
  • Ensures food safety and sanitation practices are followed
  • Maintains consistent high quality of food preparation and service
  • Manages inventory including food, beverage, and supplies
  • Controls financial operations including cash handling, budgeting and cost control
  • Provides direction for employees and manages hiring and training
  • Conducts performance reviews and develops staff
  • Leads weekly management meetings and acts as a role model for employees
