Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in hotel management or related field
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of labor standards and staffing guidelines
  • Ability to manage room rate plans and operating expenses
  • Experience conducting staff meetings and safety meetings
  • Skilled in audit and procedural modifications
  • Competence in inventory and merchandising oversight
  • Knowledge of competitive hotel market analysis
  • Familiarity with franchise and company standards compliance
  • Experience with cash handling and financial reconciliation
  • Effective communication and interdepartmental coordination skills
  • Ability to participate in corporate and regional meetings

Job Duties

  • Monitor compliance with labor standards and staffing guidelines by all departments
  • Monitor compliance with annually established room rate plan
  • Monitor operating expense tracking system for all departments
  • Administer approved incentive programs
  • Conduct required meetings such as daily huddle, weekly staff, monthly safety meetings to ensure interdepartmental communication and coordination of mutual goals
  • Audit departmental procedures and performance and modify procedures as needed
  • Monitor rooms inventory and merchandising procedures
  • Conduct quarterly rate surveys of competitive hotels and monitor program for competitive analysis and price-value assessment
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with amenity programs, franchise and company standards, as well as promotional materials
  • Assure compliance with established Manager On Duty (MOD) program
  • Participate in scheduled meetings as required by corporate including revenue management, safety, budget, sales and regional operations meetings
  • Safeguard company funds including daily cash deposit reconciliation and weekly bank deposits
  • Complete regular reconciliation on forms of payments to minimize losses and ensure compliance and report discrepancies to upper management
  • Maintain availability of cash funds assigned on hotel house bank contract and prepare monthly petty cash transmittal reports with supporting documentation
  • Ensure proper cash handling procedures at the front desk bank with shift change cash verification and notify upper management of any cash discrepancy
