Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2-3 years progressive management experience supervising 3-10 employees
  • 3-5 years sales or related experience
  • Experience managing reports budgeting revenue payroll or demonstrated math analytical skills
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel Google Documents and PowerPoint
  • Excellent leadership communication time management and analytical skills

Job Duties

  • Recruit interview and hire department managers supervisors and front line team members reflecting the diversity and culture of the community
  • Provide consistent accountability for direct and dotted line reports through training coaching planning sessions and performance reviews
  • Approve hiring dismissal and discipline of all gym employees
  • Provide ongoing team member training and development to engage and retain members
  • Conduct regular team meetings with direct reports to review performance and offer motivation guidance and direction
  • Maintain a high performing team aligned with company values and goals
  • Ensure membership execution on lead appointment setting and guest goal to meet financial targets
  • Manage accountability and performance to achieve monthly sales metrics and drivers
  • Meet personal production goals to support membership department sales targets
  • Participate and contribute to development of gym financial expense and operating plans
  • Develop monthly membership fitness and operation plans to meet financial and retention goals
  • Establish priorities and goals including revenue and labor targets
  • Foster a fun safe healthy and community focused gym culture to maximize member satisfaction and profitability
  • Collect member feedback and identify training opportunities
  • Resolve member concerns and conduct on the spot coaching
  • Monitor gym appearance and resolve issues promptly
  • Approve time and labor including overtime with department heads
  • Ensure execution of company policies programs and promotions
  • Maintain safety of employees members and gym property
