The KidStrong General Manager role at KidStrong Grandville is a dynamic leadership position that blends operational management, community building, coaching, and sales responsibilities. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous management experience
  • CPR certification
  • Ability to work in a physically intensive environment
  • Availability to work 4 weekday and 1 weekend shifts
  • Completion of Coach and General Manager Certifications including training at KidStrong HQ
  • Ability to travel to Frisco, TX for training
  • Experience working with children aged 15 months to 11 years
  • Familiarity with CRM and scheduling software
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work both remotely during presale and on-site after center opening
  • Commitment to embody KidStrong core values
  • Background check clearance
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly
  • Willingness to conduct outreach and community events.

Job Qualifications

  • An athletic and/or coaching background with experience working with or coaching kids ages 15 months - 11 years old
  • Achieve Coach Certification through the HQ Training and Certification team
  • Complete training through LearnUpon as required by HQ
  • Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians about various topics
  • Previous experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus but not required
  • Previous experience in management is required
  • Practical work experience with Google and Microsoft platforms
  • Experience with systems such as ZenPlanner, LearnUpon, CareerPlug, Gusto HR, and FranConnect preferred but not required
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics
  • CPR certified
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and time efficiently

Job Duties

  • Understand the center's key KPIs and financials to make informed and responsible business decisions
  • Build and maintain relationships with KidStrong families that align with our core values and provide exceptional customer service
  • Oversee center-level initiatives such as center maintenance, training, and brand consistency
  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance of the center, delegating tasks as needed
  • Handle center-level employee issues and maintain proper documentation
  • Schedule and communicate coach shifts using scheduling and communication platforms
  • Promote and sell KidStrong events like camps and parties to maximize profitability
  • Conduct call drives to new and existing leads using the Center's CRM
  • Delegate sales responsibilities such as call drives, trial conversions, and event bookings to staff
  • Finalize sales and bookings from online self-sign-up flow
  • Attend local events to increase brand awareness and drive leads and memberships
  • Foster a coaching culture by mentoring staff
  • Assess and document coach performance based on KidStrong Coach DNA profile
  • Recruit, screen, interview, onboard, train, and evaluate coaching candidates
  • Ensure compliance with all required paperwork and company policies
  • Lead coaching candidates through training and evaluations
  • Support ongoing professional development of staff via LearnUpon
  • Conduct regular staff meetings focused on development, productivity, programming, and products
  • Communicate professionally with co-workers via Slack and email, including periodic message checks
  • Coach students using a curriculum focused on brain, physical, and character development
  • Create positive interactions with students and families before, during, and after class
  • Use the KS Coaches App to track attendance and awards
  • Handle a physically intensive coaching environment
  • Lead monthly staff meetings emphasizing culture, development, product, and performance
  • Participate in weekly leadership meetings
  • Coordinate and attend local outreach events, pop-ups, and brand activations during presale
  • Actively reach out to leads and prospects via multiple communication channels
  • Manage lead flow and follow-up within CRM during presale
  • Represent the KidStrong brand with enthusiasm and professionalism during presale.
