Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent hotel and management experience
  • Experience as a General Manager at a similar hotel
  • Proven track record of meeting budgets and understanding P&L statements, budgets, and cost/inventory control
  • Preferred field management experience
  • Sales background is a plus
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with PC and Windows-based software
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing and background checks

Job Duties

  • Delivers results that contribute to hotel success by accomplishing performance objectives focused on business revenues, guest and associate satisfaction, and operational efficiency
  • Maintains a quality product ensuring operational standards meet brand expectations
  • Ensures exceptional guest and employee relations promoting a positive and welcoming environment
  • Maximizes room revenues by anticipating market shifts, developing and monitoring strategic marketing plans, and participating in national marketing efforts
  • Develops and maintains rapport with key community contacts to establish a visible local presence
  • Oversees security functions to ensure a safe environment for guests, employees, and hotel assets
  • Maintains proactive human resources management including employee motivation, training, wage and benefit administration, and compliance with policies and labor laws
  • Monitors financial and operational plan performance supporting corporate objectives
  • Develops annual budget and recommends capital improvements enhancing company assets and brand loyalty
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support hotel operations and strategy
