Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior leadership experience required
  • 4-6 years of experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining environments preferred
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • ability to stand for entire shifts and walk long periods
  • ability to push, lift, carry up to 50 pounds
  • ability to reach, handle, bend, stoop
  • ability to taste and smell
  • verbal communication skills
  • visual acuity including close, distance, color, peripheral vision and depth perception
  • able to access all restaurant areas including sales floor, stock, and register
  • compliance with OSHA and health safety standards
  • willingness to follow state alcohol serving age requirements if applicable

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manage daily operations and staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • recruit, interview, hire, train employees
  • plan, assign, and direct work
  • appraise performance
  • reward and discipline employees including termination
  • address complaints and resolve problems
  • foster a positive restaurant culture and ensure high employee engagement
  • coach and mentor team members for job success and guest satisfaction
  • model professional and hospitable behavior to encourage best performance
  • communicate sales performance and anticipated variances
  • cascade corporate programs and initiatives to staff
  • assist team members with job duties as needed
  • champion sales building activities and suggestive selling
  • maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • meet and greet guests
  • investigate and resolve food quality and service issues
  • maintain efficient operations with appropriate cost controls and profit management
  • ensure OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety policies are met
  • enforce safe work behaviors
  • monitor daily activities to ensure food quality and cleanliness standards
  • control day-to-day operations including cash control, inventory, food and labor management, financial reports, and schedules
  • manage P&L with focus on food, labor, carryout costs and other controllable items
  • control food costs through recipe adherence and portion control
  • manage labor costs by optimizing schedules and monitoring sales performance
  • ensure proper use and maintenance of restaurant equipment and facility
  • perform all other duties as assigned
