Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • previous supervisory experience preferred
  • bachelor’s or associate’s degree preferred
  • ability to work varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • valid driver’s license
  • proficient in Microsoft Windows and company software
  • capable of handling stressful, high-pressure situations
  • must be attentive to detail
  • strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • must follow instructions and established procedures
  • ability to evaluate and select among alternative actions
  • legal age to serve alcoholic beverages at select properties
  • must be willing to travel as needed
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • must be able to read and write English proficiently
  • must have basic financial understanding

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • use the guests' names whenever possible to ensure they feel welcomed
  • contribute to guest satisfaction scores by working collaboratively with the team
  • handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • maintain strong knowledge of hotel facilities and amenities
  • support and be aware of all hotel events and groups
  • demonstrate understanding of relevant technology and answer incoming calls with approved phone etiquette
  • keep all workspaces clean and well-organized
  • pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed
  • greet guests courteously while performing cleaning duties
  • complete all operational checklists with 100 percent accuracy every shift
  • prepare accurate and timely shift handover reports
  • wear a clean, approved uniform with a nametag and present a professional, friendly demeanor
  • communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with all team members
  • demonstrate a can-do attitude by going beyond traditional roles to meet business needs
  • collaborate effectively to create a welcoming guest environment and positive workplace
  • conduct daily supervision including hotel walk-throughs of guest rooms and public areas
  • onboard new team members following the onboarding checklist
  • complete daily summary and night audit processes according to policy
  • prepare and upload required daily reports
  • oversee compliance with brand standards and quality assurance expectations
  • enforce adherence to uniform policies and guest greeting standards
  • certify that fire and life safety inspections are current and corrective actions are taken
  • confirm completion and quality of preventative maintenance tasks
  • ensure team members adhere to established work schedules and manage shift allocations
  • foster a culture of learning, safety, and accountability
  • provide training and coaching to staff to maintain required expertise
  • communicate career growth opportunities
  • review team member time clock punches daily
  • manage purchase orders and invoice processing following company procedures
  • maintain inventory and storage areas according to MCR standards
