Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years restaurant management experience
  • Ability to work minimum 5 day workweek including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of recruiting and interviewing practices
  • Familiarity with labor laws and sanitation regulations
  • Leadership and supervisory capabilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic computer and accounting skills
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Willingness to maintain appearance and uniform standards at SONIC

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Advanced studies in business, restaurant management or related fields preferred
  • Minimum of two years of restaurant management experience, preferably in QSR
  • Experience running shifts without supervision
  • Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and local health and sanitation regulations
  • Leadership and supervisory skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic accounting and computer skills
  • Problem-solving, decision-making and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to multitask and work autonomously

Job Duties

  • Manages, trains, monitors and coaches crew, team members, carhops and skating carhops
  • Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to ensure all aspects of food service meet operational standards
  • Adheres to and monitors employee compliance with the drive-in employee handbook, policies and practices
  • Performs restaurant opening and closing duties
  • Prepares employee work schedules and adjusts restaurant staffing levels
  • Monitors and maintains restaurant inventory levels and places orders within cost control procedures
  • Completes and maintains all employment and payroll records
  • Reinforces a customer service mentality and ensures all employees focus on serving the customer
  • Resolves guest requests promptly and respectfully
  • Interviews and hires restaurant crew and management staff
  • Prepares operational reports and develops action plans to address financial and sales trends
  • Develops and implements marketing plans
