Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3-5+ years of retail management experience
- experience in financial management including sales and payroll budgeting
- proven retail management skills
- leadership and people management experience
- proficiency with technology including Point of Sale systems and Microsoft Office
- excellent communication skills
- strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- flexibility to work a full-time, flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- availability to close the store at least once per week
- ability to attend corporate meetings and travel overnight interstate
- maintain valid identification for airline travel
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- 3-5+ years of fast-paced retail management or other relevant work experience
- Financial management experience in driving top-line sales, interpreting reporting data, managing payroll budgets, and controlling expenses
- Proven retail management skills including inventory monitoring, operational excellence, service culture, and merchandising execution
- Leadership skills including attracting, developing, and motivating talent, adapting to change, developing collaborative relationships, and influencing teams
- Proficient with Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Office, and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to react under pressure, use good judgment in ambiguous situations, and be flexible and adaptable
Job Duties
- Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed Ulta Beauty's goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty including credit, payroll, omni-channel, and retail shrink
- Drive company profitability through operational excellence, top-line sales growth, and expense control
- Leverage store forecast and payroll budgets to support store scheduling needs to maximize productivity, achieve sales and payroll goals, and complete workload on time and within the payroll budget
- Address issues identified by financial and operational reporting, store visits and audit results to achieve Ulta Beauty's goals and drive profitability
- Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and guest service experience
- Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team of top talent
- Build a highly engaged team that embodies the Ulta Beauty brand through collaboration, open communication, and prioritization of work
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards including dress code and scheduling
- Protect company assets and minimize loss by meeting store standards and operating procedures for safety, inventory control, cash management, and loss prevention
- Utilize company programs, tools, and resources to drive store improvements and communicate business trends and opportunities to field leadership
