Job Requirements
- work a flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- must be available to close the store at least once per week
- attend corporate business meetings and conferences including overnight stays and interstate travel
- maintain valid identification for airline travel
Job Qualifications
- bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-5+ years of fast-paced retail management or relevant work experience
- success in financial management including driving sales, interpreting data, managing payroll budgets, and controlling expenses
- proven retail management skills including monitoring inventory, achieving operational excellence, driving service culture, and executing merchandising directives
- leadership experience in attracting, developing, and motivating top talent
- adept at managing change and leading teams through transitions
- strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- proficient with technology including point of sale systems, Microsoft Office, and Apple devices
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks
- ability to react under pressure and use good judgment in ambiguous situations

Job Duties
- promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed Ulta Beauty’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty including credit, payroll, omni-channel, and retail shrink
- drive company profitability through operational excellence, top-line sales growth, and expense control
- leverage store forecast and payroll budgets to support with store scheduling needs to maximize productivity, achieve sales and payroll goals, and complete workload on time and within the payroll budget
- address issues identified by financial and operational reporting, store visits, and audit results to achieve goals and drive profitability
- perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and guest service experience
- stay informed regarding industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests
- maintain prompt, regular attendance and hold store associates accountable to attendance policy
- attract, hire, and retain a diverse team of top talent and efficiently address staffing needs and open positions
- address policy violations with appropriate corrective action in accordance with company policies
- build a highly engaged team embodying the Ulta Beauty brand
- create an inclusive environment that inspires associate growth and engagement
- lead all aspects of manager and associate development including training, coaching, performance reviews, succession planning, and development plans
- regularly participate and ensure direct reports participate in ongoing training including brand and category education
- model a culture of open communication sharing enterprise strategy and creating aligned goals
- promote a culture of teamwork by working alongside management, prioritizing work, and providing clear direction
- execute Guest Engagement Leader program to drive business results
- ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards
- enforce dress code
- use scheduling and task management tools to provide exceptional guest experience and execute company directives
- protect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring store standards and safety procedures
- execute inventory control processes and complete theft reporting as necessary
- support continuous improvement by influencing adoption of initiatives and technology
- utilize company programs, tools, and resources to drive store improvements
- communicate and provide feedback to field leadership on business trends and operational challenges
