Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of experience as a restaurant manager with comprehensive knowledge of restaurant operations
  • Knowledge of guest service, food handling, sanitation, and the restaurant industry
  • ServSafe certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong motivational, listening, coaching, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations
  • Results-oriented with understanding of financial aspects of restaurant operations
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and foster a positive team environment

Job Duties

  • Ensure all menu items are made correctly to recipe and presented attractively
  • Forecast food production and implement the Food Production system
  • Follow opening and closing procedures and conduct cooler stripping
  • Receive and store products to ensure quality and freshness
  • Assist with guest satisfaction and increase guest count
  • Run shifts in the absence of General Manager or Kitchen Manager
  • Create a convenient and friendly environment for guests dining in or taking carry-out
  • Ensure catering and take-out guidelines are followed
  • Focus staff on delivering excellent guest experiences
  • Handle guest complaints effectively
  • Maintain visibility to guests during all meal periods
  • Maintain Health Department and Company sanitation policies
  • Obtain and maintain ServSafe Certification
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation inside and outside
  • Maintain equipment in proper working order
  • Follow Company Safety Program and OSHA standards
  • React calmly in emergencies and assist guests and employees
  • Complete daily paperwork and ensure cash control guidelines are followed
  • Improve restaurant operations based on Shopper's Report scores
  • Participate in physical inventory of food and non-food items
  • Comply with corporate, government, and insurance reporting
  • Forecast sales and communicate information to relevant levels
  • Monitor food cost, labor cost, and operational expenses
  • Assist in recruiting job applicants
  • Comply with Federal, State, and Local labor laws
  • Maintain employee records and report to corporate office
  • Manage staff by fostering a positive work environment and morale
  • Participate in training and development programs
  • Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary procedures
  • Complete termination reports and conduct exit interviews
  • Act ethically and promote Bandana's Bar-B-Q values
