Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior leadership experience
  • 4-6 years experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant preferred
  • knowledge of state mandated alcohol serving age requirements for manager positions where applicable
  • availability to work various shifts and weekends
  • physical ability to stand and walk long periods
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • ability to use hands and reach
  • ability to bend and stoop
  • ability to taste and smell
  • ability to verbally communicate
  • ability to use vision and adjust focus
  • access all areas of restaurant including sales floor, stock, and registers
  • adherence to safety and sanitation procedures per CDC and local regulations

Job Duties

  • Manage daily operations and staff in accordance with company policies and laws
  • recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
  • plan, assign, and direct work
  • appraise performance and manage rewards and discipline including termination
  • address complaints and resolve problems
  • cultivate a positive restaurant culture to ensure high employee engagement
  • coach and mentor team members
  • model professional behavior and create a hospitable atmosphere
  • communicate sales performance and cascade corporate initiatives
  • assist team members with job duties as needed
  • champion sales building activities and suggestive selling
  • maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • meet and greet guests and resolve food quality and service issues
  • maintain operational efficiency with appropriate cost controls and profit management
  • ensure compliance with OSHA, health and safety codes, and company safety policies
  • enforce safe work behaviors
  • monitor daily activities for quality food and cleanliness standards
  • control cash, inventory, food, labor, and review financial reports
  • manage P&L, food cost, labor cost, and other controllable items
  • control food costs by following recipes and portion control
  • manage labor costs through scheduling
  • ensure proper use of restaurant equipment
  • maintain facility and company assets
  • perform other duties as assigned
