Job Requirements

  • Work a flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be available to close the store at least once per week
  • Attend corporate meetings, conferences, including overnight stays and interstate travel
  • Maintain valid identification for airline travel
  • Frequent use of computers, telephonic devices, and office supplies
  • Continuous mobility throughout the store during shift
  • Frequent bending, pushing, reaching, twisting, lifting, carrying, or moving up to 25 pounds during shift

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • 3-5+ years of fast-paced retail management or relevant work experience
  • Proven success in financial management including driving sales, interpreting data, managing payroll budgets, and controlling expenses
  • Demonstrated ability in retail management with inventory control, operational excellence, and merchandising execution
  • Leadership experience in attracting, developing, and motivating talent and leading teams through change
  • Proficiency with technology such as Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Office, and Apple devices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to react under pressure and adapt to changing situations

Job Duties

  • Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed retail and service sales, guest loyalty, payroll, omni-channel, and retail shrink goals
  • Drive company profitability through operational excellence, top-line sales growth, and expense control
  • Leverage store forecast and payroll budgets to support store scheduling needs and maximize productivity
  • Address financial and operational issues identified through reporting and audits to achieve store goals
  • Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to enhance guest experience and drive sales
  • Attract, hire, and retain diverse top talent and address staffing needs effectively
  • Lead manager and associate development including training, coaching, performance reviews, and succession planning
  • Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and dress code
  • Use company scheduling and task management tools to prioritize and execute store workload
  • Protect company assets and minimize loss through adherence to store standards and inventory control processes
  • Communicate business trends and opportunities regularly with field leadership
  • Execute the Guest Engagement Leader program to drive business results
