Job Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum 7 years experience working in logistics, distribution, or relevant environment
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a leadership role in logistics, distribution or supply chain environment in operations management capacity
  • Must be able to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures from mild to moderate during warmer and colder months
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of applicable Warehouse Management Systems
  • English proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail and timeliness in task completion
  • Good organizational and personnel skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong leadership, supervision, and planning skills
  • Advanced accounting and financial skills for managing P&L and budgets
  • Motivated and able to delegate in a complex environment
  • Adaptability to change and working effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to develop effective relationships and lead diverse teams towards common objectives

Job Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED

  • At least 5 years experience in a leadership role within logistics, distribution or supply chain operations management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Proficient English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and personnel management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven leadership, supervision, and planning abilities
  • Advanced expertise in accounting and financial mathematical applications related to managing P&L and site budgets
  • Ability to motivate self and others and delegate appropriately
  • Capable of adapting effectively to a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and provide leadership towards unified goals

Job Duties

  • Ensures that systems and procedures are in place for managing operations, equipment, and products in a safe and profitable manner in accordance with company policies, guidelines, and procedures
  • Leads operations to meet prescribed productivity and service goals
  • Complies with terms outlined in site operating agreement with the client
  • Sets goals to drive company Continuous Improvement efforts
  • Works to develop and maintain productive business relations with vendors, suppliers, and all business partners
  • Ensures OSHA requirements and all Federal and State Law and compliance are effectively implemented
  • Assists in setting standards appropriate to client and scope of work
  • Develops and manages system of controls to ensure service level and operation performance goals are met within cost, revenue, and profit parameters
  • Partners with senior leadership to develop and recommend annual operating budget
  • Responsible for overall safety and security of operation
  • Develops team to achieve company and client objectives
  • Supports mentoring, succession planning, and management development activities
  • Communicates mission, vision, and core values to motivate direct reports
  • Develops plans and capital requests to ensure appropriate technology and automation
  • Acts as site level champion of client relationship management
  • Coordinates and leads business reviews with client and company representatives
  • Participates in planning new account strategies and prospecting new business opportunities
  • Responsible for budgeting and financial management within contract guidelines
  • Manages programs for sanitation, maintenance, security, housekeeping, safety, and equipment
  • Ensures compliance with safety, security, and quality principles
  • Works overtime as dictated by business needs
  • Manages operations managers
