Job Requirements

  • minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum of 5 years experience as a hotel general manager
  • minimum of 3 years experience in a full-service hotel
  • working knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
  • excellent communication and leadership skills
  • ability to manage multiple departments and projects
  • strong problem-solving abilities
  • ability to maintain a positive work environment
  • ability to read, write and speak English fluently

Job Qualifications

  • working knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
  • ability to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Marriott full-service experience highly preferred

Job Duties

  • create and maintain customer-driven hotel with a customer-keeping vision that inspires associates to do their best
  • oversee quality process to ensure customer satisfaction by consistent delivery of product quality and service aligning with hotel profitability goals
  • perform administrative duties including reading and writing reports, dictating memorandums, and oral communications
  • critically review reports of occupancy, revenue, and other key metrics
  • make judgments and implement changes to maximize profits
  • supervise development and revision of business plan, annual budget, and monthly forecasts
  • formulate complex reports
  • communicate with public, staff, corporate office, and owners
  • interview, hire, train, supervise and counsel department managers
  • meet with, develop, and delegate improvement plans for operations
  • review management team performance
  • recommend performance evaluations and resolve problems with open communication
  • participate in community affairs and maintain positive public image
  • meet potential and current clients and promote hotel
  • provide clear verbal and written communications to staff
  • perform daily property inspections monitoring cost control, property condition, cleanliness, and product quality
  • greet and maintain rapport with associates and customers
  • travel to corporate meetings, sales trips and serve on committees
  • handle associate issues in conjunction with People & Culture following policies
  • perform other job-related duties as assigned
