Job Requirements
- At least 6 years of progressive experience in hotel or related field
- Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently or constantly
- Maintain warm and friendly demeanor
- Communicate effectively with employees and guests
- Listen and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests
- Multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Approach guests and employees with courteous, service-oriented manner
- Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
- Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required

- Maintain high personal appearance and grooming including wearing nametags

Job Qualifications
- At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field or a 4-year college degree with 4 to 5 years of related experience or a 2-year college degree with 5 to 6 years of related experience

Job Duties
- Tour the operating departments daily making adjustments as needed via department heads
- Conduct weekly staff meetings including weekly training sessions presented by managers and self using Highgate Hotel standards
- Meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs in a timely fashion
- Hold monthly financial review with all department managers and supervisors
- Ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity levels and adhere to accounting procedures
- Develop managers for future advancement through competency and corporate training programs
- Conduct daily HHBR meetings with the Director of Sales to review prospecting and existing account calls
- Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including calling on top clients, hosting luncheons and receptions, and meeting on-site contacts
- Participate in required M.O.D. coverage as scheduled
- Monitor the development of management trainees
- Adhere to Highgate Hotel policies and train new managers on compliance
- Assist in the budget process and ensure training in service standards is ongoing
- Create a positive team-oriented environment focused on guest and employee development
- Inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping and engineering
- Ensure complete processing of invoices daily
- Ensure financial document submissions to the Corporate Office monthly
- Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property through inspections and preventive maintenance
- Ensure friendly, attentive, courteous and efficient employee interaction with guests and colleagues
- Forecast monthly financial positions by estimating revenues and expenses
- Prepare and conduct management interviews and hiring procedures
- Interview all final candidates for management positions
- Perform performance appraisals and administer discipline according to corporate standards
- Meet clients on property to assist sales efforts
- Be present during peak times in public areas greeting guests
- Ensure proper handling and security of hotel safe and monthly audits
- Conduct monthly credit meetings and enforce credit and collection policies
- Complete required corporate training and certify others to train
- Ensure all scheduled meetings take place on property
- Perform other duties as requested by executives
- Ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees
- Meet with clients and potential clients touring the property
- Ensure regular attendance and compliance with Highgate standards
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Comply with safety and operational regulations
- Effectively handle problem anticipation and resolution
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Perform other duties as requested by management
