Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field or 4-year college degree and 4 to 5 years related experience or 2-year college degree and 5 to 6 years related experience

Job Duties
- Tour the operating departments daily making adjustments as needed via department heads
- conduct weekly staff meetings including training sessions and sales review
- meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs timely
- hold monthly financial review with department managers and supervisors
- ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity levels and accounting procedures
- develop managers for future advancement through training programs
- conduct daily HHBR meetings with Director of Sales focusing on prospecting and account calls
- participate in hotel sales efforts including client meetings and hosting events
- participate in required manager on duty coverage as scheduled
- maintain direct contact and monitor management trainees
- adhere to all company policies and train new managers for compliance
- oversee and assist in the hotel budget process
- ensure regular service standards training and compliance
- create a positive team-oriented guest-focused environment
- inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping and engineering
- ensure invoice processing and compliance with accounting calendar
- ensure cleanliness and maintenance through inspections and preventive programs
- ensure employees provide attentive, friendly, courteous, and efficient service
- forecast hotel financial position monthly and analyze data
- conduct management interviews and follow hiring procedures
- interview prospective management candidates prior to offers
- perform executive committee performance appraisals
- motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline management personnel
- perform duties requested by Vice President or Regional Director
- ensure fair and equitable employee treatment
- meet clients on property to assist sales efforts
- be present in public areas during peak times to greet guests
- ensure procedures for hotel safe security and audits
- conduct monthly credit meetings and oversee credit policies
- complete required corporate training and certifications
- ensure all scheduled meetings take place on property
