Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 years experience in hotel management or related field
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills
- Strong financial acumen and budget management experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Commitment to customer service excellence
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check
- Willingness to travel as needed
Job Qualifications
- At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field, or a 4-year college degree and 4 to 5 years related experience, or a 2-year college degree and 5 to 6 years related experience
- Ability to perform light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with employees and guests
- Strong listening and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Approach all encounters in a friendly, courteous, service-oriented manner
- Attend all required hotel meetings and trainings
- Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required

Job Duties
- Tour the operating departments daily, making adjustments as needed via department heads
- Conduct weekly staff meetings, including weekly training sessions presented by managers and self
- Meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs in a timely fashion
- Hold a monthly financial review with all department managers, M.I.D.'s and available supervisors
- Ensure that all department heads maintain budgeted productivity levels and Highgate Hotel standard checkbook accounting procedures
- Develop managers for future advancement through competency training and corporate sponsored training programs
- In conjunction with the Director of Sales, conduct a daily HHBR meeting focusing on sales and prospecting calls
- Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts, including calling on top accounts and hosting client events
- Participate in required M.O.D. coverage as scheduled
- Maintain direct contact with management trainees
- Adhere to all Highgate Hotel policies and train new managers to ensure compliance
- Oversee and assist in the Highgate Hotel budget process
- Ensure training in service standards using Highgate Hotel's steps to effective training
- Assist in creating a positive team-oriented environment through employee development and motivation
- Inspect rooms weekly with housekeeping and engineering managers
- Ensure complete processing of invoices daily
- Ensure all financial documents are submitted monthly to the Corporate Office
- Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of property through inspections and preventive maintenance
- Ensure employees are attentive, friendly, courteous, and efficient
- Forecast monthly the hotel's financial position by estimating revenues and expenses
- Prepare and conduct management interviews and follow hiring procedures
- Interview all final candidates for management positions
- Perform performance appraisals of Executive Committee members
- Motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline management personnel
- Perform duties as requested by Vice President or Regional Director of Operations
- Ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees
- Meet clients and potential clients on property to assist sales
- Be present in public areas during peak times to greet guests
- Ensure hotel safe procedures and audits are conducted
- Conduct monthly credit meetings and participate in credit policies
- Complete required corporate training and become certified to train others
- Ensure all scheduled meetings take place on property
