Job Requirements
- At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- or a 4-year college degree and at least 4 to 5 years of related experience
- or a 2-year college degree and at least 5 to 6 years of related experience
- exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently or constantly
- maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- effective verbal and written communication with all employees and guests
- effective listening and clarifying concerns
- able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- approach guests and employees in a service-oriented manner
- attend all required meetings and training
- participate in M.O.D. coverage as required

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Tour the operating departments daily making adjustments via department heads
- conduct weekly staff meetings including training sessions and review of sales and operations efforts
- meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs timely
- hold monthly financial reviews with department managers and supervisors
- ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity and accounting procedures
- develop managers through competency and corporate sponsored training programs
- conduct daily HHBR meetings with Director of Sales focusing on account calls
- play a pivotal role in hotel sales including client meetings and hosting events
- participate in M.O.D. coverage as scheduled
- monitor management trainees development
- adhere to Highgate policies and train new managers for compliance
- assist in budget processes
- ensure service standards training compliance
- foster a positive team-oriented guest-focused environment
- inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping and engineering
- ensure daily invoice processing using A/P process
- submit financial documents to Corporate Office monthly in compliance with accounting calendar
- maintain cleanliness and maintenance through inspections and preventative programs
- ensure employees are attentive and courteous at all times
- forecast monthly financial positions and analyze data for accurate reforecasting
- conduct management interviews and follow hiring procedures
- interview final candidates for management positions
- perform Executive Committee performance appraisals
- motivate, coach and discipline management personnel
- perform duties as requested by Vice President or Regional Director
- ensure fair treatment of employees
- meet clients to assist sales efforts
- engage with guests in public areas during peak times
- ensure hotel safe procedures and audits are followed
- conduct monthly credit meetings and manage credit and collection policies
- complete required corporate training and certification
- ensure scheduled meetings are held on property
