Job Requirements

  • strong combination of business operations quality continuous improvement process development and management experience

  • experienced in handling location issues including customer complaints

  • experience leading and developing high performing teams
  • prior experience managing multiple departments across multiple locations
  • proactive approach with effective prioritization
  • excellent oral and written communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • bachelors degree in business or related field or equivalent professional experience
  • minimum five years of management and personnel supervision experience
  • experience in client-facing service operations with leadership in varied workflows
  • general understanding of basic accounting principles including budgeting
  • prior cemetery or funeral home management experience preferred
  • valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle
  • availability to work some holidays evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • take full ownership of all aspects of portfolio daily operations including P&L responsibility
  • achieve or exceed budgeted sales and profit levels
  • review financial results against budget goals and correct deviations
  • act as an example of excellent customer service by resolving escalated issues
  • provide motivational leadership to teams
  • facilitate weekly managers meetings to review staffing and training needs
  • recruit, hire, train and retain staff according to company standards
  • conduct performance reviews and create development plans
  • manage merchandise and property inventory
  • influence and manage vendor relationships
  • ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards
  • select and purchase operational materials within budget
