Job Requirements

  • Work a flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Available to close store at least once per week
  • Attend corporate meetings including overnight stays and interstate travel
  • Maintain valid identification for airline travel
  • Frequent use of computer, telephonic devices, and office supplies
  • Continuous mobility throughout the store during shifts
  • Frequent bending, pushing, reaching, and twisting
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds
  • Continuous walking, coordination, and manipulation of objects during shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5+ years of retail management or relevant experience
  • Experience driving top-line sales, interpreting reports, managing payroll budgets, controlling expenses
  • Proven record in inventory management, operational excellence, service culture, and merchandising directives
  • Leadership experience in attracting, developing, and motivating teams
  • Skilled in adapting to change and leading others through it
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Office, and Apple devices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, make good judgments, and be flexible and adaptable

Job Duties

  • Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed sales, guest loyalty, payroll, omni-channel, and shrink goals
  • Drive company profitability through operational excellence and expense control
  • Leverage store forecast and payroll budgets to maximize productivity and achieve payroll goals
  • Address issues identified through financial reports, store visits, and audits to drive store performance
  • Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to enhance guest experience and sales
  • Stay informed of industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests
  • Maintain regular attendance and hold store associates accountable to attendance policies
  • Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team of top talent
  • Address policy violations in partnership with leadership and apply corrective actions
  • Build an engaged team embodying the Ulta Beauty brand through collaboration and communication
  • Create an inclusive environment that encourages associate growth and engagement
  • Lead manager and associate development through training, feedback, performance reviews, and succession planning
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and ensure direct reports do the same
  • Model open communication and align goals with company strategy
  • Promote teamwork through management collaboration and clear direction
  • Execute Guest Engagement Leader program to drive business results
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and dress code
  • Use scheduling and task management tools to align staffing and workload
  • Protect assets and minimize loss through adherence to safety, inventory, and cash management procedures
  • Manage inventory control processes including theft reporting and product returns
  • Support continuous improvement by implementing company initiatives and technology
  • Provide feedback to field leadership on business trends and store opportunities
