Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Valid, unexpired and unsuspended state driver’s license
  • Some license restrictions may prohibit a candidate from being considered for this role
  • Previous experience with a commercial airline or ground handler in a leadership role
  • Available to work non-standard work schedules, including 24/7/365 availability for team support
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Experience working with contract labor workgroups may be preferred in some locations
  • Accomplished, customer-focused, accountable, self-motivated, and collaborative
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Lead a team to run a safe, efficient, and effective operation while delivering top notch service to American Airlines customers
  • Oversight and coordination of the day-to-day operation to ensure maximum quality and safety of on-time movement of aircraft through the station
  • Drive accountability to build and manage a strong and motivated team
  • Ensure the right people are in place in the operation
  • Be a visible and active leader of people
  • Actively get in front of employees and establish lines of communication
