Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a leadership role
  • 4-6 years experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant preferred
  • compliance with state mandated age requirements for alcohol serving managers
  • ability to work a variety of shifts and weekends
  • physical ability to stand for entire shifts and walk long periods
  • ability to lift, carry, push up to 50 pounds
  • ability to bend, stoop, and use hands to handle tools and controls
  • ability to taste, smell, communicate verbally
  • ability to use vision including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception
  • ability to access all areas of the restaurant including selling floor, stock, and register areas

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations according to company policies and laws
  • recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
  • plan, assign, and direct work
  • appraise employee performance
  • reward and discipline employees including termination
  • address complaints and resolve problems
  • shape restaurant culture and ensure high employee engagement
  • coach and mentor team members
  • model professional behavior and create a hospitable atmosphere
  • communicate sales performance and corporate initiatives
  • assist team members with category job duties
  • champion sales-building activities and suggestive selling
  • maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • meet and greet guests and resolve food quality/service issues
  • maintain efficient operations with appropriate cost control and profit management
  • ensure OSHA and health safety compliance
  • enforce safe work behaviors
  • monitor food quality and cleanliness standards
  • control daily operations including cash security, inventory, food and labor management, financial reviews
  • manage profit and loss including food, labor, and carryout costs
  • maintain inventory control with recipes and portion control
  • optimize weekly schedules using labor tools
  • ensure proper use of restaurant equipment
  • maintain facility and company assets
  • perform all other duties assigned
