Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior leadership experience in restaurant management
  • 4-6 years in family, fast-food, or casual dining preferred
  • ability to work various shifts and weekends
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency in computer usage
  • ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • basic knowledge of business math and accounting
  • availability to stand and walk for long periods
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • compliance with state alcohol serving age requirements where applicable

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations according to company policies and laws
  • recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
  • plan, assign, and direct work
  • appraise performance and take disciplinary actions including termination
  • address and resolve complaints
  • foster a positive restaurant culture and high employee engagement
  • coach and mentor team members to ensure success and guest satisfaction
  • model professional behavior and maintain a hospitable atmosphere
  • communicate sales performance and implement corporate initiatives
  • assist team members with duties as needed
  • champion sales building activities and suggestive selling
  • maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • meet and greet guests and resolve food quality/service issues
  • maintain operational efficiency, cost controls, and profit management
  • ensure compliance with OSHA, health and safety codes, and company policies
  • enforce safe work practices
  • monitor food quality and cleanliness standards
  • control cash, inventory, food, and labor costs
  • manage P&L with focus on food and labor costs
  • control food costs via recipe and portion control and conduct weekly inventory
  • optimize employee schedules and monitor sales performance
  • ensure proper use of restaurant equipment
  • maintain facility and company assets
  • perform other duties as assigned
