Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a leadership role
  • Minimum 4-6 years experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant preferred
  • Ability to stand for entire shifts and walk long periods without rest
  • Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to reach with hands and use tools and controls
  • Ability to bend and stoop
  • Ability to taste and smell
  • Ability to verbally communicate
  • Visual acuity including close, distance, color, peripheral vision and depth perception
  • Ability to access all areas of the restaurant including selling floor, stock area, and register area
  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts and weekends
  • Compliance with state mandated age requirements for alcohol serving where applicable

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations in compliance with company policies and applicable laws
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Appraise performance and discipline employees including termination
  • Address complaints and resolve problems
  • Shape the culture to ensure high employee engagement
  • Coach and mentor team members for job success and guest satisfaction
  • Model professional behavior and create a warm, hospitable atmosphere
  • Communicate sales performance and variances to management team
  • Cascade corporate programs and initiatives
  • Assist team members with category job duties as needed
  • Champion sales building activities and suggestive selling
  • Maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • Greet guests and resolve food quality/service issues
  • Maintain efficient operations, cost controls, and profit management
  • Ensure OSHA, health and safety codes and company policies compliance
  • Enforce safe work behaviors
  • Monitor food quality and cleanliness standards daily
  • Control cash, inventory, food, and labor costs
  • Review financial reports and schedules
  • Manage P&L including food, labor, and carryout costs
  • Control food costs by following recipes and portion control
  • Oversee weekly inventory processes
  • Optimize employee scheduling and monitor daily sales performance
  • Ensure proper use of equipment
  • Maintain facility and company assets
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
