Job Requirements
- At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- or a 4-year college degree and at least 4 to 5 years of related experience
- or a 2-year college degree and at least 5 to 6 years of related experience
- ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently to move objects
- maintain a warm and friendly demeanor
- effective verbal and written communication with all levels

Job Duties
- Tour the operating departments daily making adjustments as needed via department heads
- conduct weekly staff meetings including training sessions and review of sales and operations efforts
- meet all financial review dates and corporate programs timely
- hold monthly financial reviews with managers and supervisors
- ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity levels and accounting procedures
- develop managers through competency and corporate training programs
- conduct daily HHBR meetings focusing on sales prospecting and account calls
- play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including client meetings and hosting events
- participate in required M.O.D. coverage
- monitor management trainees development
- adhere to Highgate policies and train new managers
- assist in budget process
- ensure service standards training in all departments
- create a positive team environment focused on guest experience
- inspect rooms weekly with housekeeping and engineering
- ensure invoice processing daily
- submit financial documents monthly per accounting calendar
- maintain cleanliness and property maintenance via inspections and preventive maintenance
- ensure employees maintain attentive, friendly, courteous and efficient guest interactions
- forecast monthly financial position by estimating revenues and expenses
- conduct management interviews and ensure compliance with hiring procedures
- interview final candidates for management positions
- perform executive committee member performance appraisals
- motivate, coach, counsel and discipline management staff
- perform duties requested by VP or Regional Director of Operations
- ensure fair treatment of employees
- meet clients on property to assist sales efforts
- be visible in public areas during peak times greeting guests
- ensure security and audits for hotel safe
- conduct monthly credit meetings and manage credit policies
- complete required corporate training modules and become certified trainer
- ensure all scheduled meetings take place on property
