Job Qualifications
- At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field or a 4-year college degree and 4 to 5 years related experience or a 2-year college degree and 5 to 6 years related experience
- Light work capacity exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor
- Effective verbal and written communication with employees and guests
- Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented approach
- Attend all required meetings and trainings
- Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required
- Maintain regular attendance per company standards

Job Duties
- Tour the operating departments daily, making adjustments as needed via department heads
- Conduct weekly staff meetings including training sessions and review of sales and operations efforts
- Meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs in a timely fashion
- Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers and supervisors
- Ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity levels and standard checkbook accounting procedures
- Develop managers through competency and corporate sponsored training programs
- Conduct daily HHBR meetings with Director of Sales focusing on prospecting and account calls
- Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including client meetings and hosting events
- Participate in required M.O.D. coverage
- Maintain direct contact and monitor management trainees
- Adhere to all company policies and train new managers
- Oversee and assist in the hotel's budget process
- Ensure service standards training in each department
- Foster a positive team-oriented environment focusing on guest satisfaction
- Inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping and engineering
- Ensure complete processing of invoices daily
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial documents
- Maintain cleanliness and maintenance through inspections and preventive maintenance
- Ensure employees maintain attentive, friendly, courteous, and efficient guest interactions
- Forecast monthly financial positions and analyze data for accurate reforecasting
- Conduct management interviews following company SOPs
- Interview all final candidates for management positions
- Perform Executive Committee members performance appraisals
- Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline management personnel
- Perform other duties as requested by management
- Ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees
- Meet clients on property to support sales efforts
- Be present in public areas during peak times greeting guests
- Ensure security and audits related to hotel safe procedures
- Conduct monthly credit meetings and participate in credit and collection policies
- Complete required corporate training and become certified to train others
- Ensure all scheduled meetings take place on property
