Job Requirements
- Strong combination of business operations, quality, continuous improvement, process development and management experience
- Ability to establish and maintain trust with all stakeholders
- Experienced in handling location issues including customer complaints
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience leading multiple departments within multiple locations
- Pro-active approach with strong prioritization skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must possess a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
- Availability to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed
Job Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in business or related field or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum five years of management and personnel supervision experience
- Experience with client-facing service operations and operations leadership
- General understanding of basic accounting and budgeting procedures
- Prior cemetery or funeral home management experience is strongly preferred
- Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
Job Duties
- Take full ownership of daily operations and P&L for cemetery and funeral home locations
- Achieve or exceed budgeted sales and profit levels
- Review financial results and proactively correct deviations from budgets
- Act as an example of excellent customer service
- Handle escalated customer issues to provide timely resolutions
- Provide motivational leadership to teams to accomplish goals
- Facilitate weekly manager meetings to discuss staffing, development, and sales plans
- Proactively recruit, hire, train, and retain staff
- Conduct performance reviews and create individual development plans
- Manage merchandise and property inventory
- Influence and manage vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards
- Select and purchase materials within budget guidelines
