Job Description

Hotel Management & Consulting, Inc. (HMC) is an independent franchisee that owns and operates the StudioRes hotel located in Leland, North Carolina. Unlike chain-owned hotels, HMC independently manages all aspects of employment policies, compensation, hiring practices, and benefits. While the hotel operates under the Marriott brand, it is distinctly separate from Marriott International, Inc., ensuring a unique, franchisee-controlled work culture and operational management. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a hotel general manager
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Proficient use of computer systems
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to handle guest concerns effectively
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and safety procedures

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Recruit, train, and motivate a dedicated team of staff members
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to ensure the team achieves outstanding results
  • Ensure the hotel maintains high standards of cleanliness and guest readiness
  • Manage and address guest reviews to maintain review standards
  • Follow brand guidelines and meet operational deadlines
  • Manage budgets, labor, occupancy, and profit and loss statements
  • Network within the local community to promote the hotel and build strong relationships
  • Lead in-house guest sales and marketing initiatives
  • Assist with housekeeping and laundry duties as needed
  • Cover employee shifts to maintain operational continuity
  • Adhere to property emergency procedures and ensure security
  • Perform other duties as assigned
