Job Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • bachelor's or associate's degree preferred
  • previous supervisory experience preferred
  • progressive experience in hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or service industries preferred
  • must meet legal age to serve alcoholic beverages at select properties
  • valid Driver's License required
  • must be willing to work varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • must have positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • ability to follow guidelines and procedures
  • ability to evaluate and select actions quickly and accurately
  • work well under pressure and maintain composure
  • effective listening and conflict resolution skills
  • financial skills including understanding of data and arithmetic

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • use the guests' names whenever possible to ensure they feel welcomed
  • work with all team members to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • have strong knowledge of all hotel features and amenities
  • support all groups and events at the hotel
  • understand relevant technology for the role
  • answer all incoming calls with friendly service and approved greeting
  • keep all workspaces clean and well-organized
  • pitch in cleaning guest rooms and public spaces as needed
  • greet every guest with a smile and by name while cleaning
  • complete all operational checklists accurately and on time every shift
  • prepare accurate shift handover reports
  • maintain a clean, well-groomed appearance in approved uniform with nametag
  • communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • demonstrate a can-do attitude and willingness to exceed traditional role duties
  • collaborate to create a welcoming environment and positive workplace
  • conduct daily supervision including walks through guest rooms and public spaces
  • oversee onboarding of new team members ensuring adherence to processes
  • complete all daily summary and night audit processes correctly
  • start and complete shift handover reports and upload required reports timely
  • ensure adherence to brand standards and quality assurance
  • enforce attire standards including uniform and nametags
  • certify fire and life safety inspections are current and correct deficiencies
  • verify preventative maintenance tasks are performed and checked
  • ensure team members adhere to work schedules and adjust as needed
  • promote a culture of learning including safety
  • ensure staff have required expertise for their roles
  • communicate career growth opportunities and provide coaching daily
  • review previous day's time clock punches in accordance with policy
  • ensure all purchases and invoices follow approved processes
  • maintain clean approved storage and follow inventory program
