Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years of hotel management or related experience
- Strong communication skills
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Knowledge of hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and finances
- Ability to analyze financial reports and guest satisfaction systems
- Proficient in relevant hotel management software
- Familiarity with government regulations affecting hotel operations
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional demeanor
- Ability to handle stressful environments
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as bending, stooping, standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 lbs
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, hotel management or business administration preferred
- Certified Hospitality Administrator designation preferred but not required
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional appearance and presentation
- Combination of vocational education, apprentice training, on-the-job training, and essential experience
- Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and business letters in English
- Proficient in MS Office, yield management, property management system, central reservation, and payroll programs
- Strong reasoning ability to interpret financial data and make informed business decisions
- Strong management skills in delegation and goal accomplishment
- Ability to work effectively under stress and accept constructive feedback
- Flexibility to change activities frequently and handle interruptions
- Availability during nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Perform the role of standard bearer ensuring all criteria in Global Hotel Group basics are met by staff
- Execute general manager's standard operating procedures satisfactorily
- Create an operating environment assuring consistent guest satisfaction
- Monitor hotel performance using guest satisfaction systems and financial reports and initiate corrective actions
- Maintain product and service quality standards through ongoing evaluations and complaint investigations
- Lead marketing, sales, and operational activities to meet or exceed business plans
- Ensure hotel compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations
- Manage relations with public, guests, employees, unions, and government officials tactfully
- Take responsibility for managing hotel activities
- Participate actively in sales efforts and attend brand training
- Maintain community public affairs involvement
- Ensure equipment maintenance and timely resolution of outages
- Maintain downtime procedures to avoid revenue loss
- Provide coverage for assistant general manager responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned
