Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous supervisory experience preferred
  • hospitality industry experience preferred
  • proven track record of success as a restaurant manager
  • ability to withstand work conditions in various temperatures
  • physical ability to move throughout restaurant for extended periods
  • capability to lift 50 lbs for up to 10 feet
  • ability to balance and move 25 lbs for distances up to 50 feet
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • proficiency with computer technology
  • emotional resilience under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous supervisory experience preferred
  • hospitality industry experience preferred
  • proven track record of success as a restaurant manager
  • proficiency in POS systems and computer technology including email and spreadsheets
  • strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • effective communication skills including oral, written and listening
  • ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently
  • understanding of health and safety regulations
  • knowledge of inventory and purchasing procedures

Job Duties

  • build teams by identifying, recruiting and hiring the best talent
  • coach, develop and motivate team members following Capriotti's training standards
  • prepare team schedules focusing on operational excellence and cost management without sacrificing guest satisfaction
  • role model standards and maintain culture for delivering captivating service to guests
  • monitor compliance with health, safety and building maintenance
  • prepare all products according to Capriotti’s specifications ensuring correct portion, quality and presentation
  • maintain integrity of recipes to deliver consistent guest experiences
  • manage cash handling and bank deposits
  • monitor budgets, cost of goods sold, labor, payroll and other financial transactions
  • promote salesmanship culture encouraging suggestive-selling and counter service mindset
  • utilize effective purchasing, inventory, receiving and waste-monitoring procedures
  • participate and promote brand-wide and local marketing initiatives including local shop marketing
  • utilize effective communication skills to foster positive relationships with team members, guests and vendors
  • establish environment of trust within shop
  • demonstrate emotional resilience under pressure and during changing priorities
  • analyze information and evaluate results for problem-solving
