Job Requirements
- Work a flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be available to close the store at least once per week
- Attend corporate business meetings and conferences including overnight stays and interstate travel
- Maintain valid identification for airline travel
- Frequent use of computer and telephonic devices
- Continuous mobility throughout the store during shifts
- Frequent bending, pushing, reaching, twisting, and lifting up to 25 lbs
- Continuous walking and coordination during shifts
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3-5+ years of fast-paced retail management or relevant experience
- Proven financial management skills including driving top-line sales and managing payroll budgets
- Experience in retail operations including inventory management, operational excellence, and merchandising
- Leadership experience in attracting, developing, and motivating teams
- Proficient with POS systems, Microsoft Office, and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to handle pressure, exercise good judgment in ambiguous situations, and adapt to change
Job Duties
- Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed sales, guest loyalty, payroll, omni-channel, and retail shrink goals
- Drive company profitability through operational excellence, sales growth, and expense control
- Leverage store forecast and payroll budgets to maximize productivity and complete workload within budget
- Address financial and operational issues using reports, store visits, and audits to achieve company goals
- Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to enhance guest experience
- Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests
- Maintain regular attendance and enforce Ulta Beauty attendance policies
- Attract, hire, and retain diverse top talent while managing open positions effectively
- Address policy violations and enforce corrective actions in accordance with company procedures
- Build engaged teams that embody the Ulta Beauty brand through collaboration and communication
- Create an inclusive environment that encourages associate growth and engagement
- Lead management and associate development including training, coaching, performance reviews, and succession planning
- Participate in ongoing training and ensure team members do the same to foster professional development
- Share the company strategy with direct reports and align goals accordingly
- Promote teamwork by providing clear direction and prioritizing work
- Execute the Guest Engagement Leader program to drive business results
- Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty's policies, procedures, and standards
- Enforce dress code and use scheduling and task management tools effectively
- Protect assets and minimize loss through workplace safety, inventory control, and loss prevention
- Perform day-to-day inventory control processes and theft reporting
- Support continuous improvement and adopt new company initiatives and technology
- Provide feedback to field leadership on business trends, operational challenges, merchandise needs, and competitive landscape
