Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4-6 years experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant preferred
  • Prior leadership role experience required
  • Knowledge of applicable safety and health regulations
  • Ability to stand for entire shifts and walk long periods
  • Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to use hands for handling objects and tools
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and perform physical tasks
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use close, distance, color, peripheral vision and adjust focus
  • Ability to access all restaurant areas
  • Available to work various shifts and weekends
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Appraise employee performance and manage rewards and disciplinary actions including termination
  • Address employee complaints and resolve problems
  • Shape restaurant culture to ensure high employee engagement
  • Coach and mentor team members for job success and guest satisfaction
  • Model professional behavior and create a welcoming, hospitable environment
  • Communicate sales performance and anticipated variances to management team
  • Cascade corporate programs and initiatives to staff
  • Assist team members with category job duties as needed
  • Champion sales building activities and suggestive selling
  • Maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • Meet and greet guests and investigate and resolve food quality/service issues to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Maintain efficient operations with appropriate cost controls and profit management
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, local health, safety codes, and company policies
  • Enforce safe work behaviors and maintain a safe environment
  • Monitor daily activities to ensure quality food and cleanliness
  • Control operations including cash control, inventory management, financial reporting, and scheduling
  • Manage P&L aspects such as food cost, labor cost, and controllable items
  • Control food costs by following recipes, portion control, and conducting weekly inventory
  • Manage labor costs by optimizing schedules and monitoring performance
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment
  • Maintain facility and all company assets
  • Perform other duties as assigned
